Signs of spring

Well, in the stores anyway ~~ certainly not outside my window.

My daughter was home on Monday and on the spur of the moment we decided to stop for lunch and browse an upscaled mall in our town.

First we savored all the pretties in Anthropologie  ~~~~~

Wishing that even their sale item prices would be cut in half again.  We just love milling through everything from their dishes to home decor to aprons..

It’s all so crisp and alive and a little mysterious at the same time.  It’s a little difficult to absorb what the price tags are telling us however!

Next we wandered into Pottery Barn and got a dose of spring with their latest tablescape.

Tablescape Thursday

I just had to join in with Susan at Between Naps on the Porch to show you this darling table.

There was so much detail to take in.  Can you see the little crystal napkin rings?  I was so tempted but how many napkin rings can one person use?

Speckled eggs, button ferns, springy napkins, footed glass ware.  Notice the little birdies sitting on the mug handle.

I love the grapevine chargers for a spring luncheon.  The chubby little bluebird is actually a candle.

Cute????

And now for an update from my last post.  I took this arrangement to the customer’s home and the designer had not quite read the homeowner’s mind exactly right.  She wants it much larger and much rounder with lots of stuff drooping down.  So….it came home with me and I will rework it and try to make it more to her liking.

Thanks for stopping by.  It’s fun to have visitors!

You have such a beautiful blog. I enjoy the pictures because they are always so large and clear. May I ask you how you got your blog without borders, leaving more room for your pictures? I would gladly pay to have that done on my blog but I have no idea where to go. Would you mind pointing me in the right direction?

Thank you!!

This was a fun post! I love the spring tablescape. I'm still enjoying winter, but it's nice to think that spring is just around the corner.

I love just wandering through Anthropologie, and it's more fun with my daughter. I think that will be on our list when I go visit her in March. The tablescape was so pretty to look at. I love that little candle.

Morning Donna!! Sorry I haven't visited in a long while!!! I love this floral arrangement; it must be so hard to figure what people really have in mind!!! Hope you can salvage and use these items in her new arrangement; I love the organic look of this! Now I must say to you: YOU look MORE like Kristen's SISTER not mother!!! Isn't it amazing when you see someone in a pic and you swear they were related!lol I must catch up on what you have been up to! Be back soon! Sincerely, Jeannette

I see my cousin Jill has left you a message above. I love the apron from Anthropolgy. I must have at least three apron patterns and fabric to make them, but I never make the time to get them done. I
always enjoy stopping by your lovely blog!

Is that your table or one you saw some where? I ask because I'd love to know where to get those charger, napkin rings, and napkins. One of my all-time favorite tablescapes.

That PB tablescape is to die for!! So stinkin' cute!

Anthropologie is so cool but if you shop around on etsy and with some of our blogging friends you can find the most adorable aprons for a much better price. And I am so glad the little birdies are still a hot commodity. I bank on that! LOL...xoxo

Donna, I love those chargers! I'm going to see if they are on the P.B. site. If I were you, I'd be kind of glad the client didn't want that centerpiece. It looks beautiful on your table. laurie

I soooo wanted to go.. life just got in the way.. maybe some day soon.. I have one of the tall vessesls in your previous post and "love" it.. stop by again soon darling.

Hi Donna,
Thanks for stopping by tonight. Looks like a fun day of shopping with your daughter. That Anthropologie apron is really cute. My mom makes aprons for a small store in my hometown...I need to show her this one.
No ice in our neck of the woods. I'm hoping we got all we're going to get!

Love your tablescape. It says "welcome" - especially love the little birds. I also think aprons may be debuting again. I wear one occasionally. Would love to sew one IF I can come up with cute fabric combinations. Have a great February. It's only 49 days till SPRING.

Could that salt and pepper shaker bird house be any cuter?
