Oh Red! There you are!

Family room and rec side 003

I haven’t abandoned you!

A couple of posts back I discovered instead of my all time favorite RED being used throughout my home, I was noticing major signs of orange to orangey red in my furnishings.

Well, here is my lower level family room and as you can see RED is still very much a part of my decor!

Below is an old suitcase I found at an antique shop in Nags Head, NC.  Barb, were you with me?  :)

Recently while at the Dallas Gift Market I read where the Hunt Club look is out.  I don’t care ~~ I love it!  Always in search of another piece and something that isn’t in the form of yet another picture.

My daughter and I had the Best time shopping for a bridal gown on Saturday.  A day to remember for sure.  This mother will say it.  She will be a beautiful bride.

And yes, I cried.

Thanks for your visit.

I love all the red and NEVER pay attention to fads! I love what I love and that is that!

I can just imagine how special it was for the two of you shopping for a gown! Did you cry? With joy of course! I would have!

Have a great week!

Hi Donna, how are things your way? We're getting hammered with snow and wind. Guess the temps are suppose to plummet later in the day. I adore "all" your red. Gorgeous my friend.. I'm not one to ususally follow trends, just my heart... hugs ~lynne~

Red...Love it so much! I, too do not follow fads...I just choose the colors I love (and that MacDaddy likes, too).

Stay warm...

Hello Miss Donna!! How exciting to have another daughter walking down the aisle! Of course you will be sharing pictures of the beautiful bride? Now I just love your reds and I agree about the Hunt look - it's timeless and classic, therefore, ALWAYS IN! Those window treatments are gorgeous as are the prints beside your wall units. Love it all!!!

Kim

What a wonderful experience you shared with your DD....have fun planning the entire wedding. My only daughter got married 2 days before Christmas & I enjoyed the process so much. Fond memories.

Regarding "Hunt Club" look being passe, I say "phooey" on them! Its a classic look with a widespread appeal. That's like saying Harvard or Yale is out of style! Hrumph...goes to show what "they" know. We don't follow "trends"...we prefer "timeless". :D

fondly,
Rett

Hi Donna~
I am sorry I haven't visited for a while...I read about your winter white and the coat - I am the same way - I also have a thing for pale pink - I just need a FREE dry cleaner to be more brave, LOL !
Love all your punches of red ! I am
sure when my daughters get engaged one day , I too will cry ! Cherish the moments and take a ton of photos !
