So who wants a preview of the Christmas Show?

Some of you asked to see what I’m working on for my show, so here are a few pictures.

Talk about going green….it looks like I’m doing just that!

Silk Thumb Christmas 001 Here’s something for the non traditionalist.

And a close up…                                                                 I do love this vibrant green for Christmas.  It’s such a rich look and also goes so prettily (yes, prettily!) with red as you will see on down this post.

Silk Thumb Christmas 002

Here’s a sconce that would work well for the winter months after the Christmas decorations have all come down.  This would be great on a red wall or front door.  Yum!

Silk Thumb Christmas 003

I won’t disappoint the traditionalist because I am one myself.  See how pretty the red and bright green work together?  There is some brown in this too.

Any poinsettia lovers?  I really would like to know if you like poinsettias!

Silk Thumb Christmas 006

That’s it for a little preview.  Everything will look nicer once it’s set up for the show.  The set up process begins tomorrow.  I’m having to use every minute.  This really does take lots of time to turn my home into a store for three days!  Luckily my friend Susan always likes to come help!

I’ll be back with more pictures next time.  Do come again, won’t you?

Tis Almost the Season!

Hi Donna...

Just as soon as I seen your post pop up...I had to come over! I just knew that you would have some fabulous Christmas displays for us...and I must say...I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED!!!

My friend, you are soooo very talented! I think you make THE prettiest arrangements of anyone I know! I sure wished that I lived closer to you...I would be taking some of those off of your hands...and picking your pretty talented brain on how to make these! Hehe! I love, love, LOVE the bright green and you're absolutely right about it being really pretty with the red!!! That first arrangement is gorgeous with the bright greens and calla lilies...it's absolutely stunning!!! I also really like the pretty candle spray! Ohhh my...I love them all, my friend! And...yes, YES...I love pointsettias! I am really decorating with them this year! I just don't think you can beat that beautiful showy flower for Christmas!!!

Well my friend, I know that you are going to be very busy in the weeks to come with the holiday seasons upon us! Have lots of fun creating!!! I'm looking forward to seeing more...please share them with us...okay?

Warmest wishes,

Hi Donna,
Your arrangements are beautiful! I can just imagine the look in your home throughout the holidays ...gorgeous!

I love using silks, too. I especially like that when I am tired of one arrangement, can pull them apart and redo them. I usually keep one "real" arrangement in my house, and I do have live plants, but with my allergies, silk is the way to go.

Donna,
Thanks for visiting my blog, last week. I meant to visit you sooner! Your work is beautiful and you have brown transferware dishes! Funny thing, the day you commented on my blog I was heading out to purchase some for thanksgiving, sadly they were gone...maybe next year!

Best wishes,
Tammy

IF I had just half as much talant as you have displayed I would be so blessed. Putting arrangements together like that HAS to take years of practive and a natural eye for beauty and what goes where.
I cannot wait to see what's next!
Thanks for sharing it with us!
Love,
Mona

Hi Donna...

Ohhh..what a sweet treat, to come back by and take another peek at your fabulous Christmas arrangments!!! I just had to stop over to say thank you for coming by and taking a look at my faux fireplace project! My friend, you just "made my day" with your sweet, sweet comment!!! I always love when you come for a visit!!!

I just posted a few Seasonal Snippets of some of my Christmas decor in the living room...I finally got to decorate that new mantel! Just snippets, mind you...I'm waiting till after Thanksgiving for the "reveal"! Girl, I sure could use you at my place...I just know that you could give my mantel a pretty arrangement that would just "knock everyone's socks off"...hehe! I love doing it, but I'm certainly just an ameteur and it shows! Come by when you get a chance!!!

Have a fabulous Friday and wonderful weekend, my friend!

These are all so beautiful. I would probably rate myself as pretty traditional when it comes to Christmas so my favorite ones are the ones with some red.
They are all just gorgeous!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I used E6000 glue to glue my silver pieces together.
