Busy as Santa’s Elves

Hey there!  I know I’ve been missing but you KNOW I always have a good reason! ;)

My daughter and I are working on some initial plans for her upcoming wedding and at the same time I’m trying to create over 100 floral arrangements for my Christmas show which is just two short weeks away.  Wow!  There’s always so much going on!

I’m changing gears from THIS:  (By far the largest cornucopia I have ever put together!!)

cornucopia traditional

cornucopia

cornucopia 004

To containers of THIS calling out to me to create arrangements:

October late 2009 008

October late 2009 009

October late 2009 010

I’ve got the Christmas carols blaring on CD’s and trying so hard to get into the spirit!

In the meantime I received a very lovely award from Mary Lou over at Marmielu’s Nest.  You really should go over and meet Mary Lou.  She has a very nice blog filled with pictures of her decorating projects, etc.  I am quite honored that you selected me, Mary Lou.  It really thrills me that you thought of me!!  :)

I will blog when I can but if I’m gone, you’ll know what I am busy doing!!

Is everyone else thinking about Thanksgiving instead of Christmas????

Bye for now!!                Donna

Beautiful, Donna!!! :) I can't wait to see more of your Christmas decor. I am trying to focus on Thanksgiving here, but it's so darn hard when all the Christmas stuff is out in the stores. :)

That is a beautiful and abundant cornucopia! I am not in the decorating for Christmas spirit yet ~ just the gathering and making some gifts phase. I do enjoy it when it hits though and keep going until I feel I'm done.

Wow, lady, you are busy!!! That cornucopia is incredible - really beautiful!
I'm sort of splitting my brain between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I don't have nearly what you have going on. I'm just planning pies and Christmas presents. Hope you don't get tired of the music too soon. Good luck with it all.
Thanks!
Mary Lou

Oh Donna, that cornicopia is stunning! I'm saving it for my inspiration folder! Tis the season for working way too hard-especially in your business, so take care of yourself and try to have some fun and relaxation too! laurie

I love the cornucopia that you created. It is the biggest that I've ever seen. Some lucky customer will really enjoy it.

I haven't thought much about Christmas. It is hard for me to think ahead for the next holiday. I'm looking forward to seeing some of this year's Christmas creations that you make for your show.

The question about the O Christmas Tree book is a hard one.

I was bothered by the fact that it did not come with a cover, and mine is already stained.

I guess I bought it because I buy her books. That may not be enough of a reason.

Does this sound like a politician's answer??

Your floral arrangement is amazing!! I have always admired talented people like yourself who can take a little of this and a little of that and create arrangements that are to die for. I bet you daughter's wedding flowers are going to be fabulous.

Hi Donna, What a beautiful cornucopia! I love it! Yes, Kevin got good news about the tumor... It is benign and will not have to be removed for now. We are still thanking the Lord! The doctor feels sure that it will not grow.

Thanks for checking out my frames! I have two christmas shows coming up soon so I'm really busy right now. I just started decorating houses too. I bet your busy now too! Have a great week! Kristen
