A Warm Harvest Welcome

Fall Entry and Wreath 001

Is there anyone out there who doesn’t just love this time of year?  A colorful Fall entry is just so welcoming.  In the pots by my front door I have real grass growing with furry reeds.  So to add some fall brightness, I placed some faux leaves and a large stem of wheat.  Nestled in are a variety of smaller leaves and pumpkins to the base and it transitions quickly to an autumn feel.

This wreath sold and the one I have on my door now isn’t near as showy.  I may have to do another if I can find the time. (doubtful)

I hope you have gotten past the notion that you have to place your wreath between your wood and storm doors.  That makes for a very boring wreath.  Use a suction cup on the front of your glass door and that allows MUCH more fullness and texture to your statement.  As long as you have a bit of a cover on your porch, the exposed wreath should be just fine.

I’m certainly not opposed to using real flowers with the faux.  All of the plants below are real except for the sunflower head.  Even my grandson knows to ask about things if in doubt… “Grammie, are these real?”  He asked Saturday about some fruit indoors. :)

I’ll really be sad to see my Black Eyed Susan vine go by the wayside anytime now with a frost so imminent.  We got close Saturday night.

Little Froggie watering can is always nearby.

Fall Entry and Wreath 001

Am I the only one who finds it necessary to take these little bloggy breaks from time to time?  Life is just so full and so busy!

I’m going to a pumpkin farm later today with my daughter and three little grandsons.  I’m hoping they might have some white pumpkins.

I would love to see what’s on your door and take a peek at your entry!  Thanks for your visit!

Donna

Your entry looks magnificent. Very warm and inviting. I have most of what I need to begin work on my Fall entry. I giggled when you said your grandson asked about the fruit being real or fake-one of my nephews tried to take a bit out of our fake apple once!!! Better to ask for sure.

Hi Donna! I'm so glad you came to see me. Blogger decided to delete my entire blog list and I've been trying to get it all back.

How pretty everything is - and I agree - fall is one of my fav times to decorate for! Your entry is so very pretty and I'm glad you answered the question about the suction cup thing - you must have read my mind!

I notice you are at exactly 100 followers - I thought I was one - if not - I'm adding myself to make it 101!!

Have a good one -

Hi! Nothing is on my door yet, but I just love how your entry looks. Your designs are so beautiful.

I've sort of been breaking as we finished painting the family room, and just moved right on to the dining room. However, that is more complicated because there were red walls involved. This weekend should put an end to that.

Hope you have a great time at the pumpkin patch!
