From Spring to Fall

Thank you Susan for offering this time to show any projects ~~ big or small ~~ we may  be working on.  It always musters up a huge amount of inspiration for me to see what everyone is doing!  Today is Met Monday, so please pay Susan a visit at Between Naps on the Porch to get a dose of inspiration.

In the middle of our open floor plan sits a little nook.  (don’t you just love the term nook and cranny?)  Well I think this is referred to as a nook.  To take it a bit further I like to call it my Butler’s Pantry.

 It sits around the corner from this wall where my tea cart sits…..just before you can take the steps to our lower level.

Gee this looks different now with my……

Cajun Red Dining Room walls!  (this pic is a little too dark)

With having so many dishes and STUFF, I enjoy changing these shelves out from time to time.

This was my more springy/summery look

And now I’ve changed it to more of an autumn look with my brown transferware, quail, silver pheasant s&p shakers,etc.

Now people, I KNOW it’s not really a Butler’s Pantry.

~~~~~~ But doesn’t Butler’s Pantry have a nicer ring to it than cupboard or cabinet and even Nook?  :)
It’s hard to photograph so I’ve opened the glass doors, but there is still a reflection.
I’ve thought about adding mirrors in here to make the items show up better.  In the meantime, I’ve propped one to the right hand side.
Can you see it?
I do hope you’ve enjoyed seeing a little fun I’ve had recently with moving my dishes from here to there and one day they’ll be back again, only in a different place, no doubt!
Thanks for stopping by 47th Street!
Hello Donna, It is so nice to meet you. Your butlers pantry looks great. I love the brown transfer ware plates. I have those exotic bird salt and pepper shakers too, guess I better pull them out of storage for the season.
Hugs,
Sue
What a beautiful blog you have! Fun to see all the decorating. This is much better than HGTV.
Would you happen to remember how you got your comment column to appear to the side of your blog rather than at the bottom of it? It is so convenient this way because I can comment while still looking at your blog. But I have no idea how you did it. Would you mind emailing me at Jillyds@sbcglobal.net
I would so appreciate it. Thank you for commenting on my blog!
