A few Christmas Decorations And Another December Birthday

Well, it's taken me about 2 1/2 days but I have done almost all the decorating I'm going to do. It comes down to ~~ do I want to keep tweeking the decor or should I possibly write a Christmas letter and perhaps wrap a few gifts??
I love Byer's Choice Carolers. I have tried grouping them in many ways, but seem to like them better when they are somewhat split up. This year I put some on the mantle and some on my entry table.
I just adore the expressions on their faces ~~ just singing their little hearts out.
When my daughters were younger they thought they were hidious and now they like them. Funny how time changes things!
Hopefully tomorrow I will have time to show you a few more pictures of my Christmas decor.
I want to apologize to any of you who have a December birthday! We should be happy to celebrate YOU no matter what the month is.
In fact in a couple of hours I will be getting fixed up for a very special birthday. My sweet husband turns the bix six oh! today. I'm not sure where the years have gone, but I am so thankful I married my wonderful husband.
Happy Birthday Mr. Brown Socks
(I'll tell you that story some fine day)

Hey Susan, I'm in Sugar Land, and we are getting snow also! It's a small world!
Donna, I love your Byers Carolers! And I do love your Fleur de Lis stocking holders, too!
I'd say enjoy the holidays and whatever decorating you get done.....it's ok to be very simple!
Enjoy your night out with Mr. Brown Socks, and tell him Happy B'day from a Southern Belle!

Those carolers are charming. I love the decorated bike in your header. Dec. birthdays do seem to get lost in the rush. My sweet s-i-l has a birthday Christmas Eve. We always try to make a big deal out of it, because everything is revolving around Christmas. Happy Birthday to your husband. laurie

OOPS! Think I PROBABLY left my message on your LAST blog, as I don't see it here (sorry!). I just came "BACK" to tell you that "something" was drawing me to your blog... SOOOOO, I decided to sit down n' "relax for a few", & read back... and SURE ENOUGH!--- It was a "WOW" of many "similarities"!!! --- I turned the big six-oh a few months ago (am waaay too young to be "THIS OLD"... does your DH agree?), I was w/ MY DH while he served 38 years in the Army (no, that's NOT a typo!), we have a German Shorthaired Pointer named Belle (55 lbs, & SHE once ate a thick, raw steak INTENDED for my DH!). I LOVED the T'giving story 'bout Chester eating the rest of the turkey... it was obviously DANGEROUS for him to do, but since I KNOW NOW he IS "ok" from his "feast/dining-in/out", I must admit to laughing soooo hard, from imagining the entire situation, that I actually had tears in my eyes as I was telling my hubby about it! Chester sounds like suuuch a DELIGHTFUL character! Thanks for the wonderful blog here!!! (I don't have one... not computer savvy enough!..., but I will be back if you don't mind!). (Am "mom of a german shorthair" on RMS). Blessings to you and all your family, Linda

If I'd known in advance I would have sent a birthday gift...brown socks, of course. :)

Your decorations are beautiful!

You Houston girls, keep that snow there. We don't want it in Atlanta.

The bike is not in my yard. I will compose a post about it soon.

Happy Birthday Mr. Brown Socks...I found the red "Christmas toile" boxes and tins at Hobby Lobby last Christmas season. I do believe they had some of the products in this pattern the last time I went in the store about three weeks ago.
