Back in the nineties I collected many, many Longaberger baskets. Suddenly I realized I had plenty and haven’t purchased one in a very long time.
Some of my favorites are the Inaugural Baskets. I was putting this away after our Fourth of July celebration and thought I would share with you.
Here’s my first. It is from 1993, from President Bill Clinton.
And the second from 1997, President Clinton’s second term.
This is from 2001, President George W. Bush
And probably my favorite basket from 2005, President Bush’s second term.
A close up of the gorgeous lid. Isn’t it beautiful?
All lined up together….
Don’t they look important?
God Bless the USA
Is your July speeding by? Summers always seem to fly.
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to leave a comment so I can say hello!

Those ARE pretty!! Do you only display them in July? Where do you put them out?
That is a really neat collection of patriotic baskets. Did you display anything in them or did you just have them on display for the 4th?
I love your flag print! Is it old?
Hi Donna! I've never gotten a Longaberger basket! But yours are great! I agree with you about the George Bush basket! I love that lid! Thanks so much for sharing them! I know, the summer seems to be flying by! I remember when we were waiting for it to get warm enough to start planting! God Bless! Lauralu :)
I own one Longaberger basket which I bought years and years ago and it still looks like new. I've never ever seen the ones you have though. Really nice.
Hugs!

Hi1 Thanks for sharing those baskets. Yes, those Longaberger baskets are really something else. I've only got one, which was a gift, but had a dear friend who loved to collect them. I love the liners for them.
Hope you had a nice holiday.

Hi Donna,
I love your collection of Longaberger baskets. My favorite Aunt collected them and when she passed away in 2005 I was lucky to be given several of them for keepsakes. My cucumbers are pictured in one in my most recent post.
I love all things patriotic - red, white and blue is my favorite color combo for summer. From Memorial Day right through Labor Day! Thanks for your comments on my post - I wish I was brave enough to make dill pickles from my cucumber harvest but I've never canned before so I guess I will stick with my Quick Pickles :-)
See ya soon,
Warmly,
Alisa
Oh, I love your baskets. It's been years since I've seen one of these. They are always so pretty. Yours are all lovely. I really just love the yellow bike on your header, it just tickles me every time I see it. So cute. Hugs, Marty
Donna, this is a lovely collection! Yes! The summer is flying by! laurie
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog a little while ago and commenting on my tassel. I figured out how to make them by going up and down aisles at Hobby Lobby, thinking "I wonder if this will work..." Finally, through trial and error, I found something that actually did work! I still have to practice a little more though, but I think I'm getting it.
Your blog is just lovely. I adore you Longaberger baskets. My mother has several, and I'd love to have some, but the prices are a little higher than my pocket book can handle.
I agree with you...the summer really flies by. I'm a teacher, and summer break seems so very short!
LOVE your baskets. I have quite a few also but haven't gotten any recenlty. One of my sisters is a LB dealer so it helped a little bit to have an inside track.
Yours make such a nice patriotic collection. And yes July is just zooming by! :(
Great collection and I love the flag print too. I bought a small Longaberger basket at a yard sale couple of months ago for .50 cents. I snatched it up quick.
I have heard about the baskets and how well thy are made. The top on that one looked really very expensive. The inexpensive ones don't really last too long.
Cute post !
I had no idea they do an inaugural line of baskets...that is very cool...
Donna!
These are so pretty! Never knew they existed and LOVE the third one most of all.
I am also smiling because I too have that print titled Our Flag in an old frame. I would have shown in my holiday posts but the glass got broken in it and i have it out to take it to Hobby Lobby to have it replaced. Love that old print.
AND last but not least, I am super impressed that you were able to find a post from 2009.... wow! You are so organized!
Thanks so much for sharing this with me.
